Large pyramid-shaped box, France, 17th / 18th century
A fairly large travel box in a original and unusual pyramid shape.
The box is made of wood covered with leather decorated with geometric patterns and small irons in the shape of beech leaves, France, 17th / 18th century.
The box therefore measures 37cm wide, 11cm deep and 15.5cm high.
Pretty ornate lock.
The interior has lost its original paper and lining. There are traces of a later/recent lining.
Some small losses of leather at the corners, edges and corners and some consolidations to the leather, however good condition of conservation and small ironwork.
