Old label on the reverse of the stretcher indicates : 
A date  "1779" and located in Antwerp .
Condition  : needs to be restored  .
Sizes include frame : H 82,5  x L 71 cm .
After leaving Copenhagen for Paris, where he practiced his art as a portrait painter from 1780 for approximately five years, Lorentzen stopped in Antwerp, where he painted this portrait.
